Hi guys,

I'm going to be installing a water injection kit pretty soon. Need to remove the front bumper so I can plan the installation. Any tips on getting it off? I removed 4 screws in the front wheel arches as well as 4 on the top of the grill but it still wont come off. Am I missing something? :?

Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks :)

@PoloGTi - Awesome diagram, wish I had it earlier, would have saved loads of time.

@Glide_GTI - No need to remove the bumper to change the fogs. For the left fog you can pull of the black plastic surround. You'll notice 3 screws holding it on, you'll need a spline set to get them off. Then just unplug the electrical connector at the back of the fog light. Easy. The right fog is basically the same procedure but the black plastic surround is fastened on by a single screw, once thats off its easy. Btw its interesting to note how much the right fog light obstructs the flow of air to the intercooler.

Anyway, hope that helps

They should be the ones holding part of the bottom engine cover on.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.....

They aren't really screws, you can pry them off with a flat screw driver. They are small and plastic, i find it easier to feel them than see them. If i remember correctly if you at the front of the car, they concealed behind a little plastic ridge. Slide your hand along the little ridge and you should feel them. Not sure if that makes sense but hope it helps.

Takes a bit of patience. You have to slide the top in. Where you are know come back about 5 cm push in and slide.
But you have to watch out for the bottom in the fact that it has to slide into a lip underneath. I did one side, secured it then did the other.

if this makes any sense.....
