This will probably win me the most stupid question of the year award but......
How do I display the odometer in the active display. It used to be there but it now shows the trip and I can't see where/how to change it back
Cheers

On the right hand side of your Steering wheel is a "ok" button. Surrounding the button is some arrows. You press left or right to across to different options. Find "view" and choose one of them. i can't remember on top of my head. (one of the top 3)
I'm sure there is some other way to do it but that's the way i do it

It isn't showing because you have ACC turned on, if you turn ACC off then the odometer will show on the bottom right hand side. It is a bit annoying that it puts the ACC info where the odometer is so you can't see both.

It does a similar thing in the gen1 Tig when you have cruise control on you can't see the odometer either.

Passats as well. Just push the wand away from you and odo will magically reappear

No wands in the new cars Hillbilly!!!
(All controlled via steering wheel toggles)

Cheers! It was driving me crazy trying to get it to display (although I did think it toggled with the trip counter on the left hand side so I probably never even saw it change on the other side :duh: )
Thanks to everyone else that replied too

Hi everyone
i have the most incredible 2017 Tiguan 132kw TSI. This is the first of a few questions Im hoping to find answers to!
After toggking with the ‘OK’ button on the steering wheel and the arrows, I still can’t find ‘view’.
I cant get the odometer in my display - only the trip meter. It’ll flash up (total kms) as I start up the engine but then it’s just the trip. A bit frustrated.... note I don’t have ACC, only standard cruise control. It isn’t engaged unless I’m on the freeway. Any tips? Many thanks :)

I'm guessing here, but the same probably applies for regular cruise. Turn it off from the steering wheel (completely off, not just disabled) and the area that shows the currently set speed should change to the odometer.

I am having this issue as well, I swear that before I hit the Trip 0.0 button (right in front of the speedo/odo display) that the Odometer was actually on the left side of the screen and has now been permanently replaced by the Trip function.
I can get it up on the right side by turning off ACC but I wish it was just permanently on the left. I don't even use the Trip meter, only hit it by accident when cleaning.

Well, before your reset it, I guess the trip effectively IS an odometer right?
