Volkswagen : Her kommer T-Roc - BilNorge.no (http://www.bilnorge.no/artikkel.php?aid=48448)

This is from a norwegian newspaper, but there's lots of pictures to look at, rough translation:

Volkswagen T-Roc is built on the MQB-platform. The car is 4.2m long, 1.82m wide and 1.57m tall. It is approximately the same size as the Mazda CX-3 and Renault Captur.

Wheelbase length is 2.6m, 445 litre cargo space, growing to 1290 litre with the rear seats folded.

Initially there will be three models, the base model with a 1.0 litre TSI engine at 115HP with a 6sp manual gearbox in
a 2WD configuration. The next models are a 4WD model with 2.0 TSI engine at 190HP and a 2.0 TDI engine. Both with a 7sp DSG gearbox. Later there will be a 1.5 litre TSI engine paired with a 7sp DSG and 2WD, and a 2.0 TDI engine with 190HP and 4WD. There will be further models at a later stage with the 1.5 TSI engine in a 4WD configuration.

It will be available in Norway at the end of the year. I guess that means the end of next year here in Australia.

Looks a little odd to me. I wonder how it'll look with R-Line package as well as the pricing goes. Tiguan looks like a better value at this stage.

It's got about 150mm longer wheelbase than the polo? So it's a small suv.

Yep - it's designed to go up against the CX-3, Toyota C-HR etc. There will also be a Skoda version that will likely get the Yeti name.

The Skoda Yeti replacement will be called the Karoq. Bigger than the Troc, almost Tiguan-size

Fully aware of Karoq but Skoda themselves have said it is not the direct Yeti replacement - that will come later.

Model K became Karoq, sitting below the Kodiaq while Model Q is the direct replacement.
