hi all just wondering is the 132 engine the same as the 162 but with different tune or are there mechanical differences ie like turbos or other stuff ?

In the gen1 Tiguan the 125/132TSI was a detuned version of the 147/162TSI.

However in the 2nd Gen Tiguan the 132TSI and 162TSI are quite different engines. So if you're looking at maximising your tuning options you really need to get the 162TSI Highline which runs the same engine as the Mk7 Golf GTI/Gen 3 Octavia RS.

The 132TSI runs a CZPA engine which has a higher Compression ratio than the 162TSI CHHB engine.

132TSI/CZPA = 11.65:1
162TSI/CHHB = 9.6:1

They're not the same. Differences are in pistons size for example. I have no our found list now, but there was difference in turbo also.
