So I've been doing some reading and it seems I'm not the only one..

When reversing and applying the brake for the first time after traveling forward I get a very loud and noticeable clunk from the front of the car, both sides. It would seem that the pads are moving around in the caliper.

I have ATE ceramic pads installed (almost 2 years ago) with DBA rotors (closer to 3 years). Is anyone aware of a solution to minimize the movement and noise? Would removing the pads from the calipers and giving them a good clean be a reasonable starting point?

Hey mate, I'm getting the same in my CC.
Started after I changed brakes and rotors. Also have ATE Ceramics but StopTech Rotors. Exactly the same, just when you go into reverse. I couldn't find anything that would recalibrate the piston position like you can with the backs. It's not so bad for me, but yeah definitely there. If you figure it out, please let us know.
