Hi team,

My sister has purchased a 2014 Rapid and is having a terrible time linking her iPhone 6s to the "swing" radio.

The USB seams to charge her phone but when she selects MDI the iPhone displays "this accessory is not compatible error" and the head unit does nothing. We've tried changing the cable with no luck.

I suspect its a MDI compatible cable issue...

Has anyone had this issue and found a working solution?

We've found this

Access Denied (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Original-SKODA-Adapter-Kabel-USB-iPod-iPhone-Lightning-Neu-5E0051510E-/282430681708?hash=item41c22e326c:g:erUAAOSwWTRWxwD 9)

but it's coming from Germany and quite expensive

There was that weird time where car makers needed extra cables that were pricey, my Santa Fe was one, even though the cheapo Getz had proper iPod integration. Could be it needs that cable. At once stage the MDI was a socket in the glovebox that you needed to order either the USB or the iPHone cable for. By 2014 though I was pretty sure they were all just use the original cable. Have you used the original iPHone one?

Thanks Woofy,

That's what we thought. Tried several genuine apple cables. No luck.
