100 does seem plenty but because both PMs written and received is counted, it starts to build up really quick. A lot of the stuff in my PMs are important so I tend to keep quite a few and not delete them.
Is there a possibility that the PM box size be increased? Maybe 200? I know there would be an issue with server space, but how much more would it roughly take up? Maybe restrict the PM box to a minimum for members with less than 50 posts, whereas those that frequent the site would get more (if there's such a function)?
Just a suggestion.
Raymond.
yeah mine is always full too.

Yep mine always is pretty full aswell, it sucks because of this limit!!!
100% agree 200 i reckon when all is counted. I like to save some as i am tracking some fixes, and i like to here the result/feedback.

Export them to a csv file then problem solved. I get quite a few pm's daily and i find i can keep track of all of them this way.

Neil, I am sure its alot easier for the IT people like you and myself but wouldn't it be easier and more friendlier if the limit was brought to 200 for all :?

Go into your private messages and scroll to the bottom. There you will see a link that allows you to download them to either csv format (excel) or text or xml.
I find csv to be the best option.

at the bottom of the inbox it has "download all your private messages"
you can use csv, xml or text
an csv just opns up into excel.
I will have a chat to the other admins about the limit increase.
