View Full Version : NSW Passat 3d colour instrument cluster upgrades

Hi all,

A friend of mine in Europe has a couple of 3d colour clusters available for B6/B7 Passats or CC.
If there is interest I can put together a group buy to save on shipping costs.

They are available for both diesel and petrol.
They come with 260 or 280km/h dials with red needles.
They can be upgraded to 300km/h dials with blue needles for an additional $150.
Clusters are $650.
Shipping will be about $100 each. If we get a group together we can hopefully save on shipping costs by having them sent together to Sydney, then sent on locally if required.

Installation is as simple as swapping over from your existing white cluster and setting the kms to match your ECU with VCDS. If in Sydney I can install for you.

Here is a video of my R36 with 3d colour cluster upgraded with 300km/h dials and blue needles

That looks really nice. I don't suppose he happens to have a white MFD cluster that I can put into a MkV GTI?

Is the needle sweep a feature of the new display too? Also, does this work with the Polar FIS?

Can get a colour cluster for a Golf but it's a more involved process as the immobilizer is in the cluster.
Therefore it's more expensive.
But it can be done with the right tools.

Needle sweep works with all new 3d clusters.
This should work with a Polar FIS, might need to confirm with Polar.

The Polar Fis works with my 3D cluster in the CC, just use the latest "white mfd" firmware on the polar fis
