Just bought a mk4 gti golf. I've been looking at a couple of mods that I want to do starting with remapping the ecu, coilovers and possible exhaust.

The questions I have is what's the main differences between stage 1 and 2 tunes (how much power etc) and do you need to install other mods to support the tunes Also how much am I looking to spend with tuning the ecu?
I've also been looking at coilovers on ecs tuning where they have function and form coilovers for quite cheap ($630) and ST coilovers for $850

Any other feed back would be awesome. Can't wait to get to work on this car :)

Cheers Josh

Stage 1 tune 749. Stage 2 849. Not a massive difference in peak power but better mid range with stage 2. I advise fitting a k03s and doing stage 2 on that. Better all round. Plus another 20hp minimum. Post your location too. Australia is too wide to send you to workshops in you vicinity. Gavin

The Golf has a K03 standard. Not a K03s.
