View Full Version : Issue with my new multivan

I took delivery of my new multivan on the 19th of December, two days later one of the vent control buttons stuck down causing the climate control to malfunction leaving us with a dud for the hot Christmas holiday.
I tried to free the button, but without scratching it or the fascia I don't want to try any harder.
I contacted the dealer, but had to try several time before they acknowledged it and now I'm still waiting for a response.
Has anyone had this issue, and does anyone know how it fix it?

Brand new.
It's warranty
Let them sort it.
If you try fixing it yourself and stuff up, I doubt they'll cover it

This, in a nutshell.
Worst case, they deem it your fault, and then you can decide if you want to pay for it, or leave it go.

Unfortunately not. They're not a stay down button and are designed to return when pushed.

i'd be going back to the dealer, stay there until they agree to resolve it.

As per above comments, wise words.
Be polite but be firm in your dealings with them and take notes of who and when you speak to them.
Out of interest what version T6 is it?
Hopefully it's just a quick fix. Our A/C compressor was stuffed about a month after delivery on our T6 (I suspect it was stuffed from the factory but only became noticeable in hot weather) and then had to wait just under a month for the parts to come in.

Yes all fixed.
Dragged on for a while, then the dealership broke other things during the repair and denied it.
VW head office were fantastic and told me to take it to another dealer of my choice where is was promptly fixed.

Mossvale.
Usual story. Nice until they have your money, then want nothing to do with you.
