It will need to be cleared with a scan tool that can communicate with the airbag module.

Where abouts in Sydney? Check the vcds thread for those willing to assist. I'm north west.

Is the airbag light still on? I once read about another method for clearing the airbag light after disconnecting the battery. It involves driving a few 10s of metres at a particular slow speed (15-20 km/h I think) in a straight line without turning the steering wheel. Sounds crazy I know, but it might be worth a try! It worked for me once.

No, that's for the steering angle sensor calibration.
Airbag light won't clear without a scan tool.
