Hey guys

I'm shopping around for some performance mods for my R36 wagon. Came across this chip which is available locally

Powerchip Performance Software Tuning for BMW, Mercedes, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Audi, Porsche (http://www.powerchipgroup.com/interact/datasheets/datasheets_two.asp?pid=Vwn0139)

From a little research it looks like they have upped their gains and dropped the price since the chip was 1st offered. Has anyone had any experience with these?

And would I need to get the DSG tuned to get all the torque gains from this chip?

Cheers

Not much to be gained from the R36, APR didn't develop a tune for them. The only one I had any input with didn't make anything.

DSG tune wouldn't be needed but would be good value on it's own, instead of the engine tune IMO.

Fitting any sort of piggyback chip to a normally aspirated car is an utter waste of time, and any gains are tiny at best. Do not get sucked in people!!

I looked in to this myself once and went down the evolve technik path , what they offered I couldn't believe after owning a
VL turbo and the the power gains with such cheap mod's I did on that were massive being a turbo of course which is different.

I just could not justify the price for such little gain if what is stated is true I don't know.
