Cruise with bunch of people yesterday!

Fantastic weather, around 23 degrees. Windy but warm.

Cars include my Polo GTI,
Multiple 200SXs with around 170kw ~ 200kw at wheels
Maserati
350Z with around 200kw at wheel power
GTR 250kw at wheels
S2000 with supercharger (white)
Skyline GTT
WRX

Had fantastic time, really windy road with 100km speed limit. I was following 350Z (good driver), really fun following him. Was very surprised that I could keep up, but only downside was the 100 degrees or 120 degree turns, with understeer he was gaining on me everytime... it was fantastic!

Then fish and chips at the end. Overall 250km.

Great fun!

I know Dave!

If you were in Auckland, I would have invited you along!!!!

Are you in NZ now? How is it going down there?

Everyone was impressed with the GTI. They all thought... eh small European car... not even a Golf GTI!

but after the windy bits (and even up hill on straight bits), they said I was going like a rocket!

I actually quite like the look of the 5 door. Looks nice in red. If I did'nt have a car insight for my wife already I'd buy her one to do the school run in. Suitably modded of course....

It is always a pleasure when drivers of other "performance" machines come up and say 'holy *****, never expected that from this little car'

Some of them obviously are really impressed while others skulk away and has a sulk without acknowledging having their buts kicked by a little hatch.

Never hear the "girls car" comment after a run, many times beforehand though... It is one of the joys of owning a quick Pogo .... :)

I am glad that they are 5 doors in NZ. My wife wouldn't have let me get a 3 door car... meaning no Polo GTI!!!

One thing I realised during the spirited (reallly really windy road) driving yesterday was that I need to upgrade my brakes.

Will start with pads and fluids. I know you guys recommend Ferrodo for pads
but what sort of brake fluids is good for our Polo?

 S2000 with supercharger !!! insane.:o

Pogo would have NO chance. Although if ur pogo is APR'd and if the s2000 was standard, pogo would have won. I know this, :D

gotta love the polo's and their underdog status

other owners never expect them to perform well for some reason, but it sure surprises the hell out of them in most cases!
