Hi all,

I haven't been to this site for some time as I'm awaiting getting my drivers licence back in 3 months so any advice for the following would be appreciated.
My 4Motion has 145,000kms and I only drove it for around 1000kms after buying it (then lost my licence for speeding on the bike!)

- The guy I bought it from told me it just had a new clutch master cylinder replaced (I rang the shop and last record indicated "clutch repair") no details! thats all they could tell me.
- no slipping and very smooth clutch operation

I feel the biting point is too close to the floor and its made me have the seat more forward than preferred, so I can really get that pedal almost to the floor to change gears,,,, and I prefer a late take up rather than early,,, I just find that more comfortable.
I know these are self adjusting,,,,and when the CMC was replaced and if it was not bled correctly (air) could this cause the early take up? or a weld on the pedal is failing (read about this on MK4's) or something else perhaps?
I'm better at fixing m.bikes than cars so any assistance from this community would be great.

Speaking from a touch of experience, I had the clutch in my 8L S3 replaced last year after a gearbox rebuild and noticed the same thing - friction point is very close to the floor but I like it that way; makes for easier heel-toeing. It's been almost a year since the new clutch and tbh, it hasn't really "adjusted".

Maybe with time the grab point will change?

Broken clutch fork inside the box, slave not bled properly. Clutch pedal goes to the floor and stays of that breaks

the latter happened,,,,pedal went to the floor and stayed there, tow truck and expensive repair bill. From what I've read about fixing it myself I gave it to a local workshop they said 3 of them were working on it at the same time all consorting their bodies to get at such an awkward job
