Aaron dropped this little beasty off last night. Here she is in the morning sun:

It's a late 75 build LS auto wagon. At some stage a previous owner has tried to turn it into an Audi, hence the grille and dashboard, not sure if I'll keep that yet but I do prefer the dual round headlights. Already has a towbar which will come in useful as the only way I could justify buying it is that it's a wagon with a towbar so it will replace my Mitsubishi express van.

The body is nice and straight, there is some minor rust spots but nothing scary. Needs a few paint and rust touch-ups but otherwise the body and paint are really good.

The interior is rough, dash is typically crispy, seats are toast, carpets a bit ugh. Needs a scrub and some re trimming and some holes in the dash filled.

Under bonnet also needs a clean, but among the spare parts is a powder coated valve cover and timing belt cover, so shouldn't be too hard to dress it up under there.

While the timing belt cover is off though, I think it's a good time to change the belt:

Bit of an oil leak from the valve cover, but this is coming off anyway.

Also came with heaps of spares including spare doors, bonnet, guards, glass and lots of interior and mech parts.

Will go over it with a fine tooth comb this weekend and make a list of everything that needs attention, for now though at the top of the list is a 'birthday service' - all filters and fluids changed/flushed, new plugs, points done, check points, change timing belt etc. It seems to be stalling pretty badly but not sure if that's just due to low fuel in the tank - I noticed a small fuel leak from the carby so probably needs a carby kit but that should be easy.

Those steel rims have to go as well and pretty sure the tyres are retreads, so some Mk3 steelies or mags are on the cards.

Wish me luck! Can't wait to drive this! :D

I have met the original owner years ago. I hope it doesnt cause you too many issues. I have quite a few B1 parts, if you need anything let me know I may have it.
