Hey Guys,
I finally took the plunge and purchase what I think is a really good second hand VW Golf MK2 GTI 8V.

I was sick of my Impreza and it was time for a change.

I found this baby on the old Gumtree. It looks to be in good condition and had low Kms (77km). It was an Automatic and when I read sunroof it was a no brainer. (Never had a car with a sunroof before). :cookie:

I managed to haggle the guy down a little bit and made sure it had a basic service before I drove it back to Sydney as it was located in Fyshwick ACT and had been in storage for some time. I purchase it from a place called Beetle Exchange and apparently this had been sitting for sale for some time and they where using it as a little run around. I came with the log books and original sale
and delivery documents.

There are some minor scratches and marks and only a couple of small rust bubbles under the front wipers. Some of the plastics on the outside had come loose but I have now reattached them.

In the engine, I have found that the radiator fan is not spinning as freely as I would have liked and after meeting with Brian from GTI Imports, I have managed to get a new fan will try to install it when I have a chance.

Tell me what you guys think.

Looks like it's in good condition apart from the missing trim under the front bumper but an auto? That has to go, real men drive manuals. :3gears:

What are your plans?

Cheers

Paul

Yeah it had to be an auto, that was one of the requirements of the wife!

I just plan to use it as a daily driver :)

Good to see another Auto out there

Seems all the low mileage cars are autos. If you want a manual, you better be prepared for 200k+ haha

Seat trim is different to my auto but very similar otherwise. Enjoy it!

Your not wrong there! I think this is the lowest mileage car that I have ever owned!
Hey I'm curious to see the seat trim in your car, could you post a pic? I'm going to put my old red snap on seat covers :cookie:
