Hi all,

Just purchased a r36 wagon 2008 and trying to get mirror down reverse function working as with my other vw's I have owned. The owners manual shows the instructions, however in the MFD on the dash there is no mirror down function?? Under the convenience sub menu there is only mirror adjust. Any ideas about how to get it going? Thanks Chris

Isnt it part of either the drive package or Park assist. Mine has definitely got it and is in the MFD and can be enabled as per the manual. I found it didnt lower far enough the see rear wheel so I rarely use it.

I cant find mention of it in my original B7 brochure other than to say it is foldable and has memory function and isnt available When it is as I have it

It needs to be set into the memory function of your seat. Once you have your seat programmed the mirror will automatically drop when you enter reverse.

Only if you have them It can also be assigned to a key as per page 135 of my manual. If you also have memory seats it refers to page 82 to assign them to the seat setting.

However if its not in the convenience settings in the MFD the car wont have it as you have to tick that before enabling it.

Ok thanks. I have the memory seats and have tried different keys and still no option in MFD. So looks like it does not have it. Thanks for everyone's help.

It took me over 6 months to read my manual to set mine up!

It has to be setup when you set your seat position. Once done the mirror switch also has to be set to "L" for it to work.
