Hey people does anyone have a Vag tacho cable I can come borrow or use for 20minutes as I would like to pull a my PIN from the ECU/dashpod to be able to switch a new one in.

Melbourne. And can travel :)

Just wondering as I've heard stories of people sending clusters and things overseas to be coded and sent back?/

It SHOULD be. I got a cheap cable from eBay which doesn't work. Very annoying. Hence now I'm askin if anyone has a cable that works.

Who has sent their stuff off and where?

It's possible up to Gen 4 immobilisers as far as i am aware, anything with a PIN. After that it is all online.

Call Carl at CQ Auto Electrics in Richmond Melbourne (http://www.truelocal.com.au/business/c-q-auto-electrics/richmond). He has the full AVDI interface (license costs tens of thousands) and can retrieve the full EEPROM including PIN up to latest IMMO I believe ... at least Mk6 gen stuff. Costs $100 though. Tell him I sent ya :cool:

For Mk4 gen Immo stuff the ebay cable works fine ... did for me anyway.
