View Full Version : Roomster dropped - again!
Maybe this is old news but i just noticed the Roomster isn't on the Skoda website. Further research shows it was dropped either late 2014 or early 2015.
I wonder if they did the same as the last time they dropped it & had a fire sale at <$20k each?

Skoda Roomster axed again in Oz (http://www.caradvice.com.au/270700/skoda-roomster-axed-again-in-oz/)
The local dealer had a placard next to one of the *new* Roomsters indicating a 1.6 litre motor was fitted. The dealer was genuinely puzzled when I showed him the turbo under the bonnet.

My bad. I read that article as being Feb 2015.
You'd love to see the business case for the re-introduction & why they thought it would be a goer.
I like the interior & chassis of the Roomster but could never quite get my head around the asymmetric B-Pillar. They do look better if you paint the bonnet black & extend it back to the B-pillar.
The new one might appeal to a larger audience but I doubt they'll try a 3rd time.

I like the look of the new Fabia and Roomsters. On the road the closest thing that reminds me of my Fabia wagon is a Mercedes B class. Imagine if Skoda was bonkers enough to make a Roomster RS with a 1.8t. Now that would be something that would make a B class owner feel like they picked the lesser of two cars.....hahaha.
