Have a lend of a cable and am trying to do the following

A enable Auto mirror retract as per the thread on VWVortex.

B alter speedo pulses to get it more accurate

C enable easy access on power seat.

Have found the correct places and changed the values but nothing changes.

Followed the instructions and checked that the values have retained after exiting from the page it was done on.

What am I doing wrong.

In B above was set on 3 and rest of world I changed it to Aus and 7 No change.

In C i ticked the box and changed value to 1 No change

In A followed what it says in the thread and neither value works

Is whatever you are coding the same part as the one on vortex?

I think so will check in the morning It accepts it all and the original number was correct for the Byte

B7 platform has a BCM (body control module), which is combined CECM (central electrics module) and CCM (comfort/convenience module).
In VCDS shows up as 2 different addresses so looks the same as a B6.
Have found most tweaks that work on earlier platforms don't on the B7 eg rain closing despite the fact that coding appears to be similar.

So what is the solution I thought the B7 was really only a B 6.5 sort of

Have tried 3 times to alter the speedo but nothing works It tells me I am in the right place but the changes dont register

I wish I knew. Seems like they kinda locked down a lot of these tweaks.

Ok have enabled Ease of access on the drivers seat and changed the number of indicator flashes on lane change.

Unable to change speedo even though it accepts the code change and same with folding mirror.

Cleared some error codes about low battery and an engine management, MAF sensor error Discon when service done??

Did another scan and no errors ???????
