Hey Guys,

I am trying to fix my SEAT Cordoba, It recently required me to take the whole engine apart to repair, but now I am putting it all back together. I don't have a guide for the Timing Marks.

I am certain i found one on the internet about 3 days ago, with images and everything. It is an automatic, if anyone has a link to the guide with images, that would be awesome...

also my Central Locking is stuffed up, but first I want to be able to get it running again before we tackle that ;)

With Great Appreciation,
Steve

Timing mark for the cam pulley is on the plastic backing plate, that attaches to the rocker cover.

It should be in the middle at the top.

Bottom wheel has a notch which lines up with the bottom cover, which has an arrow on it.

Intermediate pulley, doesnt matter as long as the rotor arm dissy is pointing at the nearest corner of the block.

The 1.8 is a non interference motor, so you shouldn`t bend valves even if the belt is not on correctly.

Good Luck
