As some of you may have seen, I've upgraded my white MFD to a full colour version.

So if there is anyone with an older red cluster that would like to upgrade to the MY09 and later white cluster, drop me a line. Its a 30min job that just requires removal of some trim, and then 1 min of coding to set the correct kms. I have the appropriate adapter cable that would be required.

Will post in the for sale section once the cluster has been reset to new status (0kms) this week.

Sure. Do you want pictures of what the white MFD operation looks like, or of the physical cluster front and back?

Its in Melbourne at the moment to be reprogrammed, but I'll get some photos of the cluster as soon as I can.
As far as in operation is concerned, its no longer in my car, but I'll get some pics of of the white MFD in my vRS which is the same apart from the 280km/h limit and it doesn't have blue needles.
It's like this:

When did they change from red to blue just out of curiosity?

The R models have the blue needles just to let you know that you are driving something special.

The red MFD cluster was the original cluster for the R36 released in 2008. MY09 models and later were fitted with the white MFD cluster.

How much are you looking at for it? Anyone in Newcastle that could install it into my Jetta? For a fee of course.

Won't suit a Jetta. The Golf/Jetta platform has the immobilizer integrated into the cluster, so requires a lot more work to change out.

Hi kamold,

I'd be interested in the White MFD if you still have it for sale.

Cheers
