Hey guys!

Is there anyone in Sydney looking to lower their caddy and wanting to share the postage for some Darkside lowering shackles?

There are 2 guys from Melboune but ordering 3 kits puts the value over $1000 and will probably attract some import tax. So have to stick to 2.

Or has anyone had any previous experience importing over the $1000 Mark?

Looking to order ASAP!

Cheers

What sort of deal can they do for 2 kits? I assume due to their weight postage costs wont be much different?

I wasn't emailing them directly was just getting passed on info. But Darkside was doing 3 kits at 135 pounds and 4 kits 130pounds each usually 150.

Possibly 140 each.

Just thought if I was ordering a lot might as well save a few bucks.

Do you need one or know someone who does?

Are they shocks or coilovers? Have you got a link so can check them out? I was just going to get the H&R springs.

But if you're keen for a rear kit we can save a few $$$

How soon are you looking to order? Im reluctantly holding out until until after I see if the tax man gives me some money back.

They are coilovers. Not too sure about front shocks but rears have damper adjustment on them. Gaz custom builds them to order. I just contacted them via their websitr and got a quote. They work out to be under 1000aud so i wont need to pay import duties i think but i gotta check to make sure

Exchanged few email with Mark from Gaz shocks. Got quoted £270 for front shocks, £50 for springs and £110 for rears plus £95 shipping. Will be placing order pretty soon so will need to order rear flip kit also.

Hmmm......wish I had the extra cash to spend on coil overs. I think I'll be happy with the springs and from whatcive heard the ride will be a lot nicer. Let me know when you're ready to order and we'll sort something out if you're keen?

Ok so here we go.

Danny is doing 10% off and a bit cheaper postage.

Rear kit normally 150 pounds = 135 pounds
My springs usually 90 = 81 pounds
Postage = 117 pounds of which 100 is for the shackles so I'll pay the extra.

So your component is 185 pounds. Assuming we get the exchange rate Google says it's $367. From my experience its usually a bit more. Maybe $370.

Let me know what you think.

This is for a shackle kit only. You still need to get shortened rear shocks and something for the front, either coilovers or springs. link to the kitDarkside Developments - VW Caddy Mk3 Van Rear Lowering Kit / Leaf-Spring Adjusters (http://www.darksidedevelopments.co.uk/products/vw-caddy-mk3-van-rear-lowering-kit-leaf-spring-adjusters.html)

Pretty sure shortened rear shocks aren't a necessity?

Well it depends on how low you go. i think they ok for something with just springs which give around 40mm.

I'm out FTM I have 19" on the caddy ATM need to wear these tires before I drop to a 18" then lower. Few more months away for me.
After checking out the site Darkside looks like the place to buy from.

Was just thinking about asking you the same thing. I'm good to go. I'll put the order through, ask for separate invoices and then once I have the final figure I'll give you my bank details.

Does that sound ok?
