well before it stoped it was a bored and balanced 1.6 with big manly
valves 40.5 & 36 and ported and cam was scatt c 35 grind with weber
but head was bent and had cracks under 5 valve seats and had washed
the bore aswell . so i went to doner car 77 bored and deck block
and machined crank and balanced cause other was wornin thrust.
cam was pitted had reground. but spare head was a banana and they
broke it trying to get it straight , big spanner in works. so i have big valves and cam but no head for them.

I'll be it then
1.6 is 190
1.8 2.0 is 210 be it 8 or 16 valve
Stop guessing Loon.
I've never seen a 170 ??????

must change my user name to " PEDANT "

Button clutches suck for everyday use. Mate has a r32 gtr with a triple plate and its sucks! stalls all the time, unless you take off at 6000rpm, then u just leave black lines everywhere!

Stock VW clutches are excellent anyway :)

old motor had to much go, i was left with black
clutch plate and a very deeply cracked flywheel
which was sad cause it was balanced. and new
motor will have more go.

I used a standard 16v 210 mm clutch on 160 hp motor without any problems and thats street and track work.
Uprated street clutches are available also but at a price. :D
