i was looking on the net at this VF Engineering Supercharger Systems for Audi, BMW, Lamborghini, Porsche, Sypker, VW | VF Engineering (http://vf-engineering.com/mk3-supercharger/)

has anyone ever bought/installed any of these?
if this was installed should a head spacer (compression ratio), fuel pump etc be altered as if it was being turboed?

cheers!

Couple getting around.

ecu will be a problem as they don't write for our code. So standalone.

Same theory as turbo.

Kit is desgined that you can just bolt on to a standard motor.

Yeah saw that! I guess if your willing to spend the money though it would be worth it!

I had the VF stage 2 kit years ago. The kit looks a bit different now, different vortech charger. The major issue I had with the kit was the software, it worked with my ECU but the car never ran correctly. Changed to standalone and it was night and day difference in terms of drivability. Stock compression is fine with stage 2 and I don't think I ran a different fuel pump.
Having had both, I'd say save a bit longer and go turbo, much better bang for buck.

sounds like a nightmare.
i was thinking turbo, but getting quality gear quickly adds up $$$

Turbo is the only big hitter. Injectors, manifold, exhaust and intercooler could be done easily for 2k

Not really a nightmare, just more expensive than I would have liked. You'll have essentially the same issue if you try to use the stock ecu with the turbo setup. So the cost of either software or standalone ecu has to be factored in as well.
