Don't know if Polo has this feature but on the Jetta, keeping the lock button depressed closes all windows (and sunroof). Conversely, keeping the unlock button depressed opens all the windows (but not the sunroof )

insert the key into the door.
turn it to the right and hold it there will open the windows.
turn it to the left will close them.
it appearently reset the central lock unit by doing so.
not sure if remote can do it too? got to try.

As I far as I know,

the VAG COM can set it to your liking with remote...

What does the middle boot button do on your remote?

Mine doesn't seem to do anything... does your open your boot?

Try holding it down for about 2 seconds.

If it still doesn't work, consult your dealer. It should.

When I get my 15,000 week after next, I'm having them program it so press one button and BOTH doors AND the boot open. It drives me spare havng to press different buttons for different lengths of time to have different doors open or not.

I'm sure for the odd neurotic the fear of a car jacking via the passenger door when entering their car is powerful but the odds of being carjacked are probably less than being hit by a meteor ridden by Santa Claus.

Unfortunately, not in Sydney recently. I think in the last week, a WRX and a Skyline have been jacked, plus one more that slips my memory at the moment.

Hopefully it's better in Brisbane, but having had someone try pulling the passenger handle before while I've been at a set of lights, I'm a little paranoid myself (I was driving an Impreza which was locked at the time - the Polo locks itself thankfully).

VW created the locking systems in response to the Sth African market - where car jacking is a common occurance...

Yeah ... had one drunk attempt it a while back. Bounced off passenger door and landed flat on his ass. :D

The auto up/down function is not available on the polos and as far as i know it can't be coded. what you can code is auto lock/unlock, indicators to flash, and on some to beep when lock/unlock..If anyone in melbourne wishes to get some of these funtions turned on just email me and we can organise it. I have Vag com at home on the laptop. Cheers

Yeah I've tried getting this programmed through VAG-com and the MKIV window module (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/KVW100-AUTO-WINDOW-MODULE-VW-SEAT-SKODA-SPECIALOFFER_W0QQitemZ170170886684QQihZ007QQcatego ryZ75329QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD2VQQcmdZViewItem) and it just does not work.
