Hey guys,

Been around the forums/VW community for a while now, having previously owned a MK5 GTI. I stepped out of VW for a while and went to a BMW, but have returned in style.

Have picked myself up an 09 MY10 R36, Biscay Blue with only 55,000kms on the clock! Have only owned the car for a day, but the noise of the thing is intoxicating and I am having a blast with it. Options wise it is pretty standard and there are a few minor cosmetic things I may get fixed, but over all I absolutely love it.

Mod wise, I will just start off with small things like LED's (have already ordered LED Parkers, before I even picked up the car) and DSG Paddle extenders, hopefully some other things down the track.

If you see me around Brisbane, feel free to give me a wave!

Not sure of any facebook groups, but this forum is generally a great source of information.

An update, in true used car dealership style, I wasn't able to view the logbooks until I got the car home, as the dealer told me it had a full service history. It does have a full history, however the major service is going to be due in about 400km.

Can anyone update me on an approximate price? What would normally be done? I normally take my car to Prestige and Performance in Coorparoo.

major DSG + Haldex service from VW stealership will cost you around $1600.

Congrats mate. I live around that area so i will keep an eye out. I have black personalised plates on my R36. There are some good cheap mods that can be done. With regards to the facebook page, there is a brisbane euro page that we have meets on all the time. I dont go to alot of them but if we get a few R36's going then i can be persuaded. Hope to catch up soon

Thanks for the info mate!

I've had my GTI, BMW and will take the R36 there. They always seem to do better price than dealership and judging by the caliber of cars, and the way Will always has a chat with me, I trust they know what they are doing.

Hi Everyone.

I've just bought a 2008 R36. They are awesome cars. I wish I could live in it. I live in Brisbane too so it would be good to get to know a few other R36 drivers too.

Cheers

Julian
