So the new My15 Rocs can have Bi-xenon
Lights. But after looking at one in the shop I did notice it dose not have headlight washers... How dose this meet ADR?? Or are they not the usual 35watt Hid globes... If so what's the point of them then other than looks???

If they are under a certain light output they dont need them apparently

I saw one on the road the other day, the LED DRL part of the lights looked much like what you see in the aftermarket knock off in Golfs etc. Unless that's what I saw.

So they are no brighter than the standard halogens... What's the point really

Yep...they are just for show..only a hight output zenon needs headlamp washers....they golf also gets away with it as not a extreme power output....just looks nice ;)

If the lights are LED or lower wattage HID (25w instead of 35W) they will be about 2000 lumens a side. Just under the limit where washers are required. This is about 50% more than the best halogen bulbs out there.

If they are only 50% better you can buy Phillips bulbs that supposedly give that and save a lot of money and also know you are still legal

The Amorak bi xenon lights are very poor on high beam. Does anyone know how to upgrade them? I would think that a Q7 would have better high beam, or a Golf R, otherwise they are just decorative. I shouldnt have to buy spotlights or a light bar on a 50k car.
