Only had G Grids on when I competed. Finished 6th outright in the Tasmanian Classic Challenge in 1999. Upset all the turbo 4wds and other exotic car competitors.
When they were giving out the trophies the speakers mouth dropped big time when he read out where we finished! Class win again. Loved that car! :D :D

Another shot at the esses at Baskerville, even tho it has the rear wheel locked slightly it always felt well balanced.

Thanks a lot Nick1234. Yep, had some great driving moments in that GTI. Loved it, was my first GTI and being an imported 2 dr. it made it special. All original paint and could have gone in concours shows. Fantastic fun to drive which I lost when I got my mk4 to replace it. Now with the mk5 GTI it is a whole new game. Lots of fun but you must keep one eye on speedo constantly! Cheers, Andrew:) :)
