hello all,
im in the process of replacing the rear rotors on my 10 r36 passat wagon.
just wondering if they are the same as the normal passat or cc 2.0 rear rotors. and if anyone had experience with stoptech slotted rotors, along with the part number.

thanks

Brakes are heavily Dependant on PR numbers on the data label.

You'd need to find a supplier that can work off your VIN to confirm it.

Before I had the VWR BBK fitted I ran with DBA slotted & dimpled discs.

They looked great, the price was good and whilst I only had them on for 1 year, they weren't noisy or did they seem to wear the existing OEM pads anymore than one may expect...

I still have them in storage now - for when/if I ever sell the car I'll part it out first to try and recover some of the investments...

Any reputable major parts dealer will have them, or be able to get them in.

The DBA rear discs are exactly the same size as the OEM ones. Same for the VWR 2 piece rear rotors too, but they're around AU$1k for a pair, the DBA versions are a single piece rotor and I think I paid somewhere around AU$500.00 for the pair. They look great, slotted and dimpled and they wear very well too.

Have a looksee at the DBA website for a reseller local to you.

According to the MY2010 Passat sales brochure (published Feb 2010), the 118TSI and 125TDI got solid rear discs, while the 3.2 V6 Highline and R36 got ventilated read discs. No mention of disc size though.
