Talk about a mine thread...

My MY10.5 is exactly the same with two exceptions:

3FE = Electric slide/tilt sunroof with sun screen/sunblind
8AY= Radio/navigation system

I thought there would be a code for Adaptive Cruise Control.

I've attached a photo of my option code sticker. The code for my ACC is not there.

From your VIN, 8T3 PR code is associated, which is 'Adaptive Cruise Control and
cruise control system' as well as PAD which is 'Adaptive Cruise Control ACC and
automatic distance control "Front Scan"'

But my Option Code sticker doesn’t have 8T3 on it. How did you find this from my VIN number?

I looked it up on Partlink24, which is the from the same data that the VW dealer has access to.
Why it's not on your PR code sticker I've no idea.

I note that partslink24 is subscription only, so not much chance of checking this out, me thinks.

I only have one PR code sticker as my original logbook disappeared before I purchased my R36. I may have retrofitted Dynaudio (I guess there is a PR code for that) but I certainly didn’t retrofit the ACC....

Where can I found this sticker with the options on it? I've looked everywhere in the boot and on the insides of the door but nothing.

You could pay for an hour on ERWIN and download your vehicles complete details plus you can get the workshop manual for it at the same time. Ive got my Tigs details all 7 pages of it. My Passat had a sticker in the boot in front of the spare tyre and one in the book

Go to this page and register Volkswagen AG erWin Online (https://erwin.volkswagen.de/erwin/showHome.do) and register

Its 7Euros for an hour you go to the top selection and put your vin in and wait You can also then download the workshop manual for your car in less than an hour on a decent connection.

I got 4 manuals in about 90 mins

For manuals got to Vehicle repair on home page or to specific vehicle information in top task bar

Thanks Hillbilly
I found the reason why I couldn't enter my vin number. For some unknown reason firefox wouldn't bring up the dialog to enter the vin number no matter what I tried to do, but once I used another browser everything was okay.

You can also pull all your build codes using Erwin (EU7 for a few hours). Best to grab any manuals you need while youre at it.

Handy when looking at used cars and sellers have no clue what options have been fitted.
