Hi,
I am finding that my golf makes quite a lot of road noise when on corse road surfaces.
Does anyone have tricks/tips or solutions for reducing road notice in the golf range?
I have tried different tyres in other cars and honestly this dose not really make a difference.
Is there a spray or lining that can be installed?
Or should have I brought the A3 :p

Have a search around for Dynamat:

You need two layers

1. The vibration damping layer (like Dynamat)
2. The noise absorption layer -massed loaded vinyl sandwiched between foam.

Go 2-4psi higher than what the placard recommends anyway.

Also, a set of genuine carpet mats will help too.

Higher tyre pressure leads to less rolling resistance, but higher road noise.

Are you sure, about this? I've noticed more noise when tyre pressures are low.
