Exactly...or it would have forced the importers to stop restricting the choice of models and option availability. If the Feds did their part and removed all ADR laws (excpet those that were absolutely necessary for us) and piggy-backed UK or Japanese regs (rhd countries) this would have made it less costly to build and certify cars for our relatively small market....and I would have got my T6 tdi450 Crewvan, 60/40 easy entry 2nd row seat, lwb, 4motion, rear wing doors van for work and private use.....
