    5speed gearbox...

    I am after a 5speed gearbox for my 1.8T conversion into a Mk1.

In no real rush to buy one but would love to have it for when I am ready to install motor and gearbox to do work in bay area.

If possible, gearbox code 02A or 02J please.

Is the code awd? Or is it a all wheel drive box?

Do you want to try and get of 2. Hah. No worries. All the best with your mk1. Should be super quick, I had a mk2 with the 1.8t setup, very fun.

Cheers. I as far as things are going, if I rebuild the motor to complete original specs etc and get a QPENG electronic plug and play setup to suite the motor with the old school dash, I can get a gain of about 60kW according to their website.

I'd stay away from qpeng. I had that in my mk2. Had lots of troubles with it. Overfueled, had to let it idle to warm up or it wouldn't run right. I'd recommended using a computer that a local tuner uses so if you need it tuned they can help.you out. There are plenty available, such as haltech, wolf. Just my opinion through my experience.
