I like that new car smell.
I kept the windows up all the time to retain the smell as long as possible.

Yes, it's the aux water pump. But it shouldn't be that noisy. Ours certainly isn't.
They can get damaged if they run dry. Or it's just worn out.
Yep, I run at the same height as the lowering springs were. Ride is as smooth as factory.
The KW street comfort springs are not as stiff as the H&R springs.. so the car will sit lower as you start...
WRX? Oh the humanity!!!
;)

Probably just a sensor (wheel or ABS) problem....
Same here. MY12.5 Polo GTi.
Bought brand new. 40,000km driven so far.
Drives great. No warranty claims. No oil consumption issues. No problems at all.
It's the brake pads shifting in the caliper. It's normal.
See my post #1875 in this thread.
Yep, it's a cash grabbing gimmick.
Dodgy earth connection?
Bring it round.. we'll sort it out.
Ross-tech or cheap ebay version?
What cable are you using to code with?
$1300 for a diagnostic fee?
Take it somewhere else to get it looked at, then get the original servicer to cover costs if they are found at fault.
SD Card is easiest and hassle free.
If it's a suspension related claim.. then coilovers will void that claim. EG a crack in a wheel.
If you're engine blows.. then you should be covered as it has nothing to do with the suspension.

We initially went with H&R 25/40 springs. For $400 it was worth a shot. Here it is here with those springs:

The Polo GTi has an XDS front diff.
You can read about it here..
Electronic Differential Lock (XDS) < Technical Glossary < Innovation & Technology
In essence it will automatically apply brake...
$1800 to lift a spanner?... surely some pre-repair diagnosis and investigation would be the first step for any competent mechanic.
There's a button on the mirror.
Playing devils advocate - perhaps the dealer is suggesting that the gearbox mount was damaged due to jacking up the vehicle to install the coilovers.
Nope, standard struts. They just aren't upto the task of controlling the increased spring rate.
I found my H&R 25/40 lowering springs too harsh for my liking. Have a set of KW Street Comfort coilovers on order.

Glad to hear you're running again. :)
