you don't happen to zip through Melbourne by any chance?
Ive been told Amarok was built in SthAm, but moving back to Germany later this year.
what are your thoughts on the italian LDV?
I was at a dealer today doing some preliminary investigation. I have a 2012 crewvan and i want to get a new one. Turns out the caravelle is cheaper even with 9 seats and all the fluffy comforts....
i got one from a wrecker off an old multivan. in Melbourne.
On that note Sunny, i have a T5 with cloth seats and vinyl trim. The vinyl is cracking in places as its prone to do. Is there a solution for this long term?
I had a service, also at a european specialist, 110k cost me $380. But i was told i need a new timing belt thing, so that will cost a lot more in 5k.
Im not due to buy a new van for a couple of years yet, but when i do I'll buy another crewvan. Blue Motion would be nice, but i won't consider the auto after the all the DSG issues.
aside from the aesthetic, is there any advantage to the aero?
Al the air comes from the front. If the front vents are open fully, the air flow to the rear is subsequently reduced. I've have kids in the rear, so what i do is block all front vents, cool down...
I just had my 75k service, cost $580 from VW Bayford Camberwell. I was told the front pads are low and rear are also getting there. Last pads were changed around 42k.
Did you also get 100000 km on the RA23?
Ive recently put on my second lot of NanKang tyres. I got them for about $150 each and i tend to get 38-42k Km (about a years worth of driving for me). they're quiet enough on the road and I've...
was that 120 for the tow bar and wiring harness?
I'm in a 2012 T5 crewvan. at present, it doesn't have any provisions for a tower. Just a stock standard van.
If someone could post a few photos of how a tow-bar assembly attaches into the...
The latest Choice Magazine has something about manufacturers warranties NOT being voided under consumer law even with non genuine parts or non manufacturers servicing. I'll have to dig it up.
Great work Sunny. I wish i had the time to do that to mine. Does anyone know someone in Melbourne that does similar sound proofing work - for my next van?
I'm curious, how did you scan it yourself? And where did you get hold of the parts schematics from - would you be willing to share that?
Thanks for that Tornado
You could mulit-meter it to be completely sure, but as in the rule for steak - brown is cooked, black is fooked!
I picked up mine tom Jaycar- they cost about $30 each. I only got one, but the sales guy was very confident with them.
I replaced one of my daytime drive lights with and LED. No dramas, both LED & incandescent work fine.
Anyone in Melbourne know a mechanic with experience in VW transporters?
Welcome Indeed. Don't be discouraged by the posts here.
Just because 6 people have had trouble, doesn't mean the other 30000 transporters out there have had similar issues.
Oil is important,...
