Quite the ride it's been Greg, good on you for sharing the info, keeping up a thread like this one also takes a lot of time and effort,
Many Thanks.
Mine came with the vehicle when I bought it, I can't see the manufacturers name on it.
The aftermarket adapters usually raise the seat height marginally.
Not absolutely certain, but some adapters are type approved, means no separate engineer approval necessary, is the case with my own, which was certificated without swivel noted on the approval. Check...
Hi,
This type is more truck like but very effective, fitted 10 years ago, lasting very well.

There appears to be one fuse, Fuse SB9, which is in the top block in the middle of dash, so if one light is working the fuse is ok.
Have you got an extra spare bulb to try ?
Hi JJ,
Bad news about the flooding, how deep was the vehicle in the water ? and which engine code ?
Just to cover basics first, with a digital Multimeter (DMM) test the battery voltage at the...
One more - while the fuel sender is out, (if you have it out still) is to measure its resistances for your records & notes.
Yep, although I have stayed at really cold QLD outback places.
That video you linked made me think of the glow plugs.
cheers.
Hi Greg,
When the tank is down is a good time to add a fuel line to the pump for an auxiliary heater, either coolant or parking, for you or the next owner. I have done that job, its fairly easy....
So, calling the NRMA, playing around for 2 hours is not too much mucking around ? Filling the new filter takes a few minutes, engine gives a couple of very brief hiccups and away you go.
I noticed a comment by 'festa' the 2.5 T5 engine experimenter on the T5 UK forum about the injector clamp, but I haven't been able to find the forum post again, but the comment was about enlarging...
If you haven't yet, have the axle CV boots checked.

Thanks for sharing info.
Not just anywhere, a reputable a/c specialist, preferably who knows the T5. There is any number of things to go wrong, but a common problem is the rear system parts leaking, in my own I have blanked...
Depends, if it is OE, dealer fitted, or aftermarket system, if DTC codes list for system pressure "lower limit exceeded" then yes it will be low or out of refrigerant. That means leaks will have to...
The PDC alarm is under the dash above the pedals, mounted on the J519 onboard supply control unit, from my experience it would be unusual to be faulty.
What's the history, how many owners, are there any related entries in the service log ?
There was a campaign early in the life of the T5s, where changes were made to faulty trans if there were...
There are control units on each front window motor assemblies, they can be affected by moisture,
do a search for door control units J387, J386.
Yes, but only as effective as testing a tyre by kicking it.
In my experience the EDL is helpful but no substitute for a mechanical difflock which actually makes the rear axles one solid drive axle, equal drive to each rear wheel, I have owned and experienced...
Hi,
It will depend on what sort of a life you've given her, mostly motorway or rough roads,
These are some indicators - when you are travelling on a country sealed road at a 100KPH and you cross a...
Hello Brian,
Which engine, you mention couplings so I suppose You mean the freewheel drive & rubber couplings and it
is a 2.5TDI. If so then it would be a good idea to get those done now. They...
