Yessir.
My local Volkswagen shop paid 50% and charged me $606.30, meaning an approx $1,200 total cost, which I thought was quite reasonable given the amount of work involved.
Note my car was as 2010 model...
FK Coilovers to fit 6R Polo.
These things are one year and 40,000km old. I am going back to factory suspension because I don't know how much more my spine can take. What was I expecting for $500?...
I'm rubbish at parking. That is all.
I LOVE my 1.2TSI, such a meaty mid-section. Mind you, it has zero go above or below the mid-range.... so keep it there.
To those of you who don't have a 6C manual and don't live in Brisbane, I'm sorry but you're just not cool.
To those of you who DO own a 6C manual and live in Brisbane (or surrounds), I am dying...
Paul that looks awesome! Great spec!
You make a good point KiwiME, it's a 07/2010 6R Polo 1.2TSI 6-Spd manual (WVWZZZ6RAU068933).
Dealer just says "The oil is filled for life in these cars, you don't need to change it". Ever so...
I was told it wasn't as easy as a fill and drain plug... just wasn't told why/how.

I really need to change my gear oil now.
The seats in the Beats are the best seats I've ever sat in, in my entire life. Shame the color scheme is so awful.
Hi All, does anyone know the procedure for changing the manual transmission fluid in the little 6-speed boxes hooked up to the 1.2TSI engine?
Indeed it was! We actually just diagnosed it properly tonight. Off to VW to get it fixed tomorrow.
Brakes direct quoted me $300 for good quality low dust pads and rotors all round! Awesome price!
You legend!!!
So a month or so ago we started to smell oil in the cabin.
Fast forward a month of being too busy and lazy to actually try and figure out what's wrong. I open the bonnet and there's a reasonable...
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh next year can't come soon enough! The ol' 1.2TSI is getting on and she's ready to make way for the big gun!
Well this answers a lot of questions.
We couldn't figure out why one side was so easy and the other side nearly resulted in us burning the car down. My partner ended up removing the strut with...
If it helps, I've had my 2010 77TSI for 15 months from 108,000km to 141,000km and we've had no problems with a water pump.
Unfortunately it seems to have stopped....
I swear I also hear the timing chain rattle coming back every now and then, I hope it goes bad before the parts warranty is out.
Hi All,
My 2010 6R 77TSI 1.2 Manual thinks it's a bumble bee.
I've had the rattling chain, fixed.
I've got the rattling fuel lines, ignoring.
I've got the rattling wastegate as the revs...
131,000km on my 77TSI. The timing chain failed at 110,000km and VW paid half- I was very lucky, $1200 repair in total. Note I caught it before it skipped teeth.
Otherwise a very reliable engine...
Hi All,
So the story begins with a 120,000km major service, change of brake fluid. Of course we failed to notice the clutch takes from the top of the reservoir, and we let air in.
Tried all...
I love your ride height! Perfect!
