I had a similar issue with a similar quoted price. Exactly the same car. I asked the dealer to request a goodwill gesture due to the low mileage (~32K) and they covered 75% of costs.

I finally had a moment to replace the 17 inch factory rims on the Octavia with 15 inch rims from a Golf 7. I've not driven on it much but first thoughts are noticeable. More compliant and more...
A few months ago I bought a set of Golf 7 15s with tyres that came off a new Golf. I've yet to fit them but I bought them seeking an improvement in the unpleasant ride of the Octavia. They pop up on...
The Fabia has had AEB standard since its introduction mid last year. It's not a new thing.
Mine is much the same. Tried to get the same angles as your pics above.

Exactly. Imagine if they had the foresight to bring in a 110TSI with a manual gearbox. I note with interest the compliance sheet also included 16 inch wheels.
What I'm saying is that there is too far a gap between the Octavia and Superb ranges. If you were an Octavia owner looking to upsize, you would be looking at quite a large jump in price. Skoda could...
Entry level prices for Skoda wagon range:
Fabia - $17140
Octavia - $23990
Superb - $41690
They've missed an opportunity to correctly position the Superb range. That, and the lack of options...
This is going to be great. Not only can I order the spec that is denied to me by Skoda Australia, but I don't need to deal with them in the process! Win win.
I can count around 70 of them in the country arriving since early December.
A mate saw one in Sydney recently. What is there not to believe?
I found an Alltrack in Sydney. I guess the release is imminent.

The newer motors are quieter, more efficient, and have better thermal management. 16v heads replace the old 8v lumps. The Polo/Golf/Octavia have had the new engines for a while. Yeti and Rapid are...
It's a completely different motor. There are no similarities.
Just be aware there is nothing in common with the old 1.2 tsi in the Mk2 Fabia.
I don't know why the message doesn't get through to the folk marketing these things. They probably faff around for years trying to work out why people don't buy Superbs and then they go and do...
Good work.
No manuals :(
18 months ago it was dropped!
Skoda Roomster axed again in Oz
The local dealer had a placard next to one of the *new* Roomsters indicating a 1.6 litre motor was fitted. The dealer was genuinely...
Good luck. I escalated this with a dealer and Skoda Australia shortly after mine was delivered and neither were particularly concerned the brochure was incorrect.
I'd suggest the stamp in the service book is the only attention to servicing the car has ever seen.
Given they are targeting 2708 vehicles in the recall it would appear to be relating to the EA211 1.2 TSI.
Edit - and the timing belt thing as above :)
The brochure specifically mentions the USB port will charge a device.
Mine has never worked since day one. Plug a phone into it and nothing happens.
If anyone wants a manual RS Wagon there may be one available at Rockdale Skoda. See below for the recent post on the Skoda FB page.
How on earth does this happen so frequently?

A sad Mk2 I saw parked at Maroubra.
