Certainly AWD traction was one reason I'm interested after 10 years of hot hatches. The fat tyres and the long throttle travel (with adjustable mapping) on the Megane helped, but launching or getting...
"How long is a piece of string?" you say, please hear me out
I used to be a regular on this forum when I owned a 9N3 Polo GTI, but I've since moved on to a Megane RS250, and moved on again to a...
Aussie made Acrylic headlight protectors, a bit dusty with light scratches. Suit stock headlights only (not aftermarket items). All reasonable offers considered. Located on Sydney's North Shore.

Hi all, I've traded up to a Megane RS250 Cup. Thanks for all the help and support over the years and the Pog remains the best bang-for-buck car I've owned, without your help every time I logged on to...

I would hazard a guess and say it's the yaw/pitch or accel/decel sensor for the ESP, or something like that
Hi folks
Is there anyone in Sydney with a stock dogbone mount (rubber) bush that they don't need? I've swapped mine for the PU one, yes the shift quality has noticeably improved (wasn't bad to...
Unplugged the MAF then drove for a few days, no problems even under hard throttle. The car definitely seemed a tad more sluggish but still better than stock - boost would peak at ~15psi instead of...
Hi all
Lately I've noticed the car occasionally would have an abrupt hesitation and buckle a few times on hard acceleration (not necessarily under WOT), this would go away if I ease up, or if I'd...
Sounds good. What would you use to plug the hole in the airbox? Cheers
So if you remove the pump, what do you do with the hoses it's connected to? Plug them up as well and zip tie them somewhere or take them all out and plug up whatever holes they'll leave?
I'm...
Thanks vwthunder - the car's done 75kkm, but have had the emissions light come on every now and then in the last 3 years. I'm probbaly going to remove it and plug it but might buy a used one and put...
Just got told after a service that the secondary air pump has packed up and to replace it would cost $1033 parts and labour. And the car's just out of warranty, VW does time it well.
So did a...
Not sure if you could turn off the passenger side airbag on oz-market Polos... I don't think you could
Couldn't get them in quart bottles so bought a gallon (3.78L) - used app. 2L to fill the Pog's gearbox last night, have somewhere between 1.5-1.6L left.
I think the cheapest price in Syd for a...

Take us seriously, or else!
(Hope he's not one of us though :))
I'm pretty sure VWs have the deadlock function but you don't get the option of not engaging it, ie once the alarm's on the deadlock's on as well.
Double-clicking "lock" on the remote doesn't do anything - alarm is still armed... hmm
Which is why I've set mine to beep to confirm the alarm has been armed!
Now you can safely lock your child/pet with the windows up in 40 degree heat without having the alarm go off! VW thought of everything :)
Thanks folks - yes I've never thought about the weight of the tyre itself could've made that much difference or the fact that street tyres could differ in weight by as much as a kilo between brands!...
