VW Radiators are bout $300, as mentioned in the post above yours. Got no idea what causes it.
wow that sounds like a lot then. I agree it's a tough little car, but you're crazy for taking it off road. I guess you know the roads well enough to know you wont get into any trouble.
Hang on PSY604, if your fronts are scrap and you rears are fine, have you ever rotated them? Because I got more use out of my conti's on my GTI and thats with light track use. How many times have...
Thats crap ...
it's not that great a car to wait 12 months for. I know someone that had a Polo GTI ordered, the dealer rang to tell him 2012 and he took a demo Golf GTI for only a few $$K more....
Heard this morning that 2 mates have been changed to a 2012 delivery date :o What are VW playing at?
It can. I've done it as a last resort out the back of Kosi national park, haven't ever pushed whilst using 95.
Good to see you n00bs wanna get stuff organised :P
Down to Robbo pies is a good one, via Macq Pass - Loftus Oval to Robertson New South Wales - Google Maps. Loftus Oval has mostly been our...
It's actually weird driving a car that absorbs the bumps, especially just regular rises and dips in a smooth road.
As for the track, we'll see. Wouldn't mind doing some motorkhana's.
So I got my car back on Sat morning :) To start with I could feel a lot of weight in the rear and thought it very strange, at my next stop I checked the boot and the'd put the old shocks and springs...
My car is getting done this Friday, bout time farkn :(
As long as the parts are in, it will be next week.
I dont really wanna start a new thread a bout this. Has anyone got any opinions on reconditioning CV Joints? Should I do it or just buy new ones?
Still not in yet. Waiting on a few more bits and I've been lazy. Gotta go see Seb this week actually.
Having another look at these and I wouldn't ever bother spending the money. But I'm interested in how often you touch your hight adjustment? Mine points down low and never moves.
I actually don't mind those, but with my white car, don't think I'd get the dark ones.

Arrived yesterday, despatched last Friday.
lol I'll be having that $20, will need it to pay for the coil packs ;) Replace spark plugs and coil packs, should be right :)
Do you mean the loose turbo bolts problem?
Put it on the back of a flatbed :( Seb says probably the coil pack, engine starts and it moves, but sounds terrible and smells. Sitting down at the local auto sparky :( Hope they're gentle with it.

They were Weitec Hicon GT's. When I tried to get a smallish group-buy going, he really only budged on the freight, only saving us bout 20pounds each. So all up just over AUS$1000, inc freight. ...
Well my Weitec's have been ordered. Will wait and see, hope I've done the right thing.
Well all power to you and your driving skills if you can get anywhere near 1:10. I think it's a tough ask, obviously with enough money anything is possible, but I don't see it happening. Don't...
