If your going with a custom tune then there is probably benefits to the Rail valve. The tune I have does not require the rail valve upgrade. So if your thinking of going APR (which is what I have)...

I would suggest Pump and Tune if you only want to do two things. Reason being the car will still sound nice and quiet but go like a rocket :)

Maybe DSG get less power down...? I know with certain model vehicles the auto will make less power then the manuals. Not sure on the VAG family but. Maybe someone else can chime in here.

Yeah fair call. I know the first DSG Stg2+ S3 had the carbonia but I didnt see the last one. Also the manual Stg2 S3 had the VWR intake. So yeah that would have helped :)

I think it may be the fact that the two Stage 2+ S3's were dsg and the stage 2 was manual.

Only thing i could think of, because my car is manual and it made more then the two dsg s2+ s3 also.
