Turned out to be leaking from the oil filter housing seal.
Had a look under and found 2 spots on the undertray where oil had dripped, both right side. Didn't see any oil dripping.
I will take the car back and have them check the sump plug. Until then will...
Drips are more right side. Will get under and see if I can trace it.
6 days ago, noticed 2-3 small oil stains under the car. Since then, 2-3 small oil stains after the car has been driven. There are no puddles of oil, and the level on the dipstick has remained steady...
Headlight globe blew, well what I thought. Changed globe and it was still not working. Took the car into VW and it came back that there was no power to the main beam of the headlight: The service...
It’s been nearly a week and the other bolts are good. I only noticed the missing bolt today when washing the car. It seems they forgot to put that particular bolt back on.
Car came back from service one wheel bolt short, and the service place isn’t open until Monday.. Is it OK in the interim to drive one bolt short?
I have a MY13.5 Polo 77TSI with 71,000km on it (give or take) and the DSG hasn't skipped a beat, no issues at all.
Yep my MY 13.5 Polo does that. And I'm certain my previous Polo did it too.
Thanks, I'll go for new pads first and see how it goes
Thanks all for your replies. I wasn't sure if it was normal for a warped disc to present itself intermittently. The car feels safe to drive but I will certainly change the rotors at the next chance....
Getting up towards 60,000km, mainly city driving
It seems to
The shudder happens after driving for a while, dry roads and in a straight line. Some days it will shudder sometimes and some days not at all. There is no brake smell and the shudder can happen with...
As the title suggests, the brakes have started to shudder on occasion, at other times they are perfectly smooth. The shudder is not speed dependant. Would the discs be the problem or should I look at...
I recently had the wiper arms off the windscreen, and before placing them back, I accidently activated the wipers and of course the arms hit the bonnet.
The wipers now squeak at the top of each...
I got a set of genuine wind deflectors "thrown in" along with a set of carpet mats, when I purchased the Polo.
The genuine wind deflectors look good on the car, and I probably would of preferred...
A question about Capped Price Servicing, should the oil used and workshop sundries be invoiced separate from the scheduled service? Listed on the Volkswagen website as covered under Capped price...
I looked at replacing the plastic cover in my car, it has scratches on it which are only really noticeable in the sunlight, but I know they are there and that can be irritating. Unfortunately, in...
Something else I have noticed, the wiper doesn't skip when on the fastest wiper setting, only on intermittent and normal speed.
[QUOTE=NuffNuff;1153376]Do yourself a favour and on any service at vw ask them not to do the courtesy of washing your car because they do a **** job. They orbital polish it but with dirty pads and...
I checked the drivers side wiper in the service position and the blade is leaning in the direction that it judders. Shouldn't it be sitting straight on the glass?
I've always used a dashmat. Got mine for the Polo from Autobarn, had to be ordered in.
I want to slightly twist the wiper arm to stop the juddering , which is only happening on the upsweep. It is also squeaking at the top end of the wipe. Both happen in rain, the more rain the worse it...
The lights I have now are 6R0 941 061/062C, which are fog lights only and does only have one globe.
There is another part 6R0 941 061/062B which is a combined fog light/DRL, shown in this picture....
I currently have fog lights on the 2013 Polo, but wanting to change them to the fog light / DRL type (6R0 941 061/062B).
Would it be possible to code the car so these lights operate as the DRLs?
