Welcome. Not a lot of love for the new beetle in oz these days, but a few of us are hanging in there! I'm doing some work on my 02 Turbo at the minute. The electrical gremlins have hold of it.

If you're going to chip it or drive it hard, go with the Single Mass Flywheel with the stronger clamping force clutch linked by bug racer. If you want to keep it stock you'll need a Dual Mass...
A few years ago now, we drove into a skoda dealer to look at a yeti and drove out with a scout. Best car ever and we only sold it because we were leaving for PNG. We have a Kia Sportage diesel AWD in...
They have it on the Skoda Australia website. Only the 1.5TSI available, but with DSG and optioned up with everything except the bigger wheels runs to about $45K. It's a nice looking car, but I'm not...
They have been getting a bit tough with asbestos lately, mainly in cars from the US AFAIK, but the UK is also on the list..
Depending on which state you are going to, you'll probably need an...
Assuming it's a 5 speed, have a look at the dieselgeek website. He has some good videos of the shift mechanism out of the car and you can see the different bushings you might need.
Are you sure it's the ECU? A misfire can also be caused by a leaky hose or stuck check valve. Just my 2c worth but it might be worth checking for leaks before you go to the trouble of changing out...
Well that's one way to manage demand I suppose. Serving up things we don't want and trying to force us to buy a Tig or a Golf wagon might not work as they expect. Some of the Korean diesel cars are...
This article, although it's mainly focused on the Karoq talks about Skoda supply shortages for Australia, including the Kodiak. It doesn't paint a very positive picture for those of us hanging out...
Forge make an inlet pipe for the AGU. Not sure if there is an Australian distributor but available from URO tuning.
The Hyundai is the Tucson, and the kia sportage.

I put a table together of specs of various cars that have been on my shopping list lately. Hope the formatting survives,

Hey mods,
Just a quick word of thanks for all the behind the scenes work you guys do.
A suggestion; it might be time to have a new model heading under skoda for the Karoq. Some info from the...
I like the look of it and yes it is a bit audi-ish. Can't find anything about pricing but if the Kodiaq price is anything to go by, the Karoq should drop in below the Tiguan. Which is a good thing.
A bit more info about the Australian release of the Karoq here
I could be interested in one of these.
Mods I wonder if we should have a dedicated thread for the Karoq?
I've had good experience with sparesbox too. Another option for shipping from the USA is to use a freight forwarder. I've used Shipito twice recently and found them to be quite good. If you open an...
Not sure about the Bora but in the turbo models, there is a switch, that looks like this. On the beetle it's located at a 3 way join of the upper radiator hose and two smaller hoses. If you have it,...
Agree, it's probably a sensor on the way out. If you're going to keep the car, it might be worth investing in a scan tool, something like this, is a bit cheaper than VCDS.
I can't really help you, except to relate my own tale of woe about fans. Misery loves company and all that!
Like yours the fans on the beetle would never turn on no matter how hot the engine was,...
A guide here
I had to get the instrument cluster on the beetle repaired recently. Took it to this guy Attila Instruments Calibration and Instrument Repair Service Home Page who was good. My problem was with the...
Test procedure for the DV is here http://www.vaglinks.com/Docs/Misc/VAGLinks.com_DIY_Testing_a_Bosch_Diverter_Valve.pdf
Seems odd. Is the turbo working? Here's a picture of where the small hose goes 13336 might help.
Sorry to hear about your injury - hope you're on the mend. While you've got things apart, check your N75 wastegate regulator valve. The procedure is here. There is a really useful discussion about...
I'd check the plugs and coil packs first.
