Swap it yourself mate. There will be some lights but a quick nip around the block should deal with them
We ran from 60kmh in 4th for most cars on a dyno dynamics. The software on the dyno would hold the car at 60 for 2 seconds with you at full throttle and then release the load to carry out the run....
Scantool would be better than flicking the key and cranking for ages.
ozwidetools do lots of VW special tools. TBH I dont use an aligning tool often, just eyeball it
Post some pictures, stock GTI wheels are 16inch FYI
You should take it back, it needs to be scanned to see what the problem is. That message alone doesnt point to a single item that needs replacing.
Fitting a DQ500 wouldn't save you anything. All kinds of dramas to make that work.
First why Lubemobile and not a Euro specialist?
A new clutch pack is a grand of the $4800 rebuild cost. Bearings arent pricey but there's plenty of work to get to them and replace.

Send your VIN I'll look it up. FYI though, one of those numbers is LH the other RH
I think it's a stretch to expect a dealer to warranty an unknown vehicle with 140k that is well over 10 years old. I'd certainly expect them to fight if something failed. Even having a roadworthy and...
It's a 5k job to repair with a new head and chain kit, if there's nothing else wrong with it. No one in the trade is going to a give few grand, for one with a bad engine. There's plenty available for...

Sorry I missed your post.
You could have it rebuilt I never got one done here though and it wont be cheap.
Upgrading the turbo is an expensive exercise. Turbo, TIP, intake, intercooler, MAF...
TBH I wouldn't go mad with expensive parts. There's nothing wrong with a new rear seal. I would do the clutch though
You can buy Airtec ones easily, so I wouldnt bump the value based on its OEMness :D
How much is it?

You'll have to be the guinea pig mate. Let us know. Make sure you get the 1.8T pipework.
N80 valves and Carbon canisters break all the time.
I know several VW mechs that grew up rebuilding these engines every week. They just use the std oil everytime. It's against the grain for me but the few I have had a hand in dont gobble oil...
I have helped plenty of guys tune remotely but the choice is yours, if you are happy with them no need to swap. My mate that tunes for me has done lots and lots of big turbo me7 stuff. Flashing ECUs...
I'd advise a k280, better suited to road driving. I have a k300 and it's not as user friendly as the 280 builds I have done for customers. No need to do a link. I can assist with tuning your stock...
I would run thicker oil. I use a Liqui Moly 10w40. Doesnt seem to use a great deal. But TBH I don't run full service mileage anyway. I do trackdays and stuff and I am always dropping the oil.
If...
