Thanks all, looks like quite a few have had no issues. This is the model I was considering....
...
That's great - can you provide some details into the model you've been using, so I can get an idea of load?
Also how often/long do you tend to run it in your Tiguan off the boot 12V socket?
I’ve been contemplating purchasing one of those portable fridge freezers (40-65L size) and running it off the boot 12V socket.
Do you think it’ll be fine, for say shopping trips and weekends...
That worked, many thanks. I must have confused the new card step with those with the newer DiscoverPro where maps are stored internally
Hoping someone here can help with my issues trying to update maps....I've read through this thread and a few others but can't seem to work out what's wrong.
I have one of the first boatload...
Funny you mentioned this, my family started noticing this recently too - on my Oct 2016 Tiguan.
In my case, it smells sort of sourish almost like vinegar....is yours like that?
My absolute No 1 item from above would be:
CarPlay navigation in instrument cluster - implemented by Apple, not supported by VW
Temperatures were nothing unusual at this time of year in Sydney, neither too hot or cold.
....and on my return trip home, the error has mysteriously disappeared, with the usual tripmeter appearing again 🙄
Hi guys
This morning when starting my MY17 Tiguan 132 (fully loaded), I noticed an "Error" message where the odometer reading normally sits. Got my car at launch so almost a year old.
Also...
Me too - I thought I read the manual carefully and concluded there was nothing wrong with plain old h20. Is my car going to fall apart?
Agreed, if I was to get one today (as opposed to my 132Tsi fully loaded during launch), I would definitely have considered the Adventure. Only slight reservation is no leather :)
Luggage compartment tray - Part. no. 5NA061161
Luggage compartment liner - Part. no. 5NA061160
Any photos of the finished work?
Haven't had a chance to confirm the brake lights myself, but if it's as described by drivesafe above then that's good news
Will enlist a volunteer to check tomorrow 😳
Used it today and confirm it's awesome, and works exactly as described 😀
Also noticed the little detail where the (P) symbol on dash is lighted green when the brakes are engaged under Auto-hold,...
Oh so that's expected behaviour. I was worried because I thought having the Auto Hold light on meant that the brakes were still applying pressure whilst the car was moving 😳
With the Auto Hold on my Tig 2, I found that it doesn't deactivate even when I start pressing the accelerator pedal and the car starts moving. Is that normal behaviour?
When I turned mine off (132tsi), it's just a blank screen - maybe it's a setting somewhere I need to enable?
If I recall correctly, in the menu settings, you could choose either a male or female voice.
I believe it's standard from 132 models and up
So it could be a reflection of the different approaches in the country head offices, rather than dealers?

Apologies if I confused things, just referred to the manual the additional setting I was thinking of is called "Adaptive Lane Guidance" as gladbach rightly pointed out above. But the point remains,...
