Thanks mate. They won't fit my Golf i'm afraid. Offset is different.
Just confirming that these are for a Scirocco yeah?
If you do, just drive it around for a few days and see if they come back.
For those playing along at home, I had my VIN checked by VW and the model code for the front is 9U1 and 1KZ for the rear. So that's parts 1030.01 and 1031.00 for the front and rear respectively.
What makes you say they wouldn't be ideal? For reference, the car spends most of its life in traffic and doing a run to Canberra and back maybe once a month.
I'm doing rotors as well. DBA4000...
So i'm trying to source some Remsa pads for my R. My parts bloke has hit a bit of a road block when he does a search where it comes back with multiple models for the one vehicle;
As you can...
For a Golf R......the Scirocco ones have a different offset.
It would seem these things are made of cheese. Had one repaired a few months back........now another one is cracked in three places....
I've put 25,000kms on mine (just about to roll over to 60,000kms in total, i'm the second owner) and there have been no problems with ACC.
I do fear the day that dampers need replacing though. In...
Have you looked into Autosock?
AutoSock - The Original Norwegian Snow Socks For Vehicles

Incorrect.
OK.....you can all stop panicking. Seems closing the bonnet clears the notification.
Oil light flashed orange a couple of times whilst driving today. Took it home and let it sit for a while on flat ground then checked the oil and it was low. Topped it off but the light still flashes...
Haldex oil pump. My MK6 had identical symptoms.......$650 later, it felt like a new car.
I was distinctly unimpressed that it failed after 37,000kms.
Not anymore......$595 and they're out of stock.
Sweet Georgia Brown.......this has gone up to $595.....and looking like $700 for V10? Unbelievable.
I've been using Android Auto in a hire car in Canada for the past 2 weeks. If I can find a...
Looks like i'm screwed then......it's VWV have already replaced it. I'll give it a crack with VW anyway.
Thanks for the feedback lads.
That was my thinking......I don't know how much me being the second owner will change things.
VW Village are replacing it, it's having the big service so the Haldex is being done.
2012 R with 37000kms....i'm the second owner and have put 4000kms on it since March. It's in for a 60K service with VW Village and they just called and said it's throwing the code for a dead Haldex...
Hmmm, I replaced the battery in my Mk6 R myself......OEM battery replaced with another Varta battery. I haven't changed anything in the computer though.....
You're actually MORE likely to have moisture build up without the A/C on. Part of it's job is to dehumidify......so you're likely getting drier air than ambient with it switched on.
Resurrecting an oldish thread......picked up a 2012 Golf R with 33,000kms on it back in March. A/C had been fine up until Sunday......sun, shade it was consistent.
Was out on Sunday and it started...
I think it's important to point out the POI file is all good, i've looked inside and it's all there......it's just the 510 is having some sort of hissyfit. I've got the 5238 firmware burnt onto a...
East Coast Suspension have always done a great job for me
As a cyclist myself (albeit MTB rather than road), it astounds me that people ride through the RNP. I get that it's a nice road and all but it's such a bloody dangerous place to be on a pushy.
I'm...
