I had it set up how you've described. The problem is if you bolt end of the belt to or next to the retractor the seat belt is too short because the pillar is a foot behind the seat it needs to come...
The other thing is the seat itself has 3 factory mount points for the stalks and the lap belt etc. The 3rd mount on the drivers side of the seat is only being used to hold a guide for a sash belt....
