Net 4x4 has some decent Bilstein/H&R gear. I've had it on mine for about a year. I wouldn't lift the front more than around 35mm without a diff drop or you'll stress the CV's.

Check if your front body mount bolts are secure. I had a knock from the front and on closer inspection the front left body mount bolt was missing and the rubber was distorted causing the chassis...
I thought the whole dieselgate thing was for a NOX emissions cheat that was programmed into the vehicle rather than particulate matter.
New VW Amarok V6 Highline 580S 2020 detailed: Special-edition ute to pack 200kW punch - Car News | CarsGuide
All Australian delivered TDIs are 4wd. There was a 2wd version, but it came in a petrol variant. The auto's are full time, so no 4x4 button. You'll still have traction control, off road and rear diff...
AFAIK the 580's have the same brakes as the 550. A 17" rim will fit.
Run a mile if the DPF light came on.

A friend's core doesn't have one. I think the oil filler sits lower on the core too. My Sportline has an extension piece to bring the filler cap up level with the top of the cover.

Bogan or otherwise is not the point. VW have assured me theirs is a premium product, and they sure as hell charge a premium price for servicing, but their attention to detail in services is way less...
Off topic a little but problem with that is.... you may have a brand new filter and after doing only 10 kms you refuel with a bad batch of watery diesel. It's going to get to the motor regardless. It...
Thanks guys. Back to the drawing board...
Interesting points you make, thanks[emoji106]
I'm about to pull the trigger and purchase a secondary fuel filter kit from Diesel Care for the V6. It's 2 micron and apparently copes with 300lph flow.
Obviously VW are non committal warranty wise...
Not at all. On the contrary, it says you must still use your wipers. I've used it for years.
Possibly a wax build up. Try Rainx windscreen treatment, it works well at removing residue and making glass silky smooth...
Agree, my shortest trip nowadays is 40km and most of that being 100kph. I will sometimes get to the end of the 100kmh stretch into town and the engine is doing a burn. Never had the light on though....
Commercial Vehicle of the Year | 2019 Best 4x4 Work Ute
I too had a dreadful experience with them back in 2012 with a very dodgy snorkel install. I have only darkened their doorstep once since to have a faulty shock absorber replaced (which I removed and...
It was just over a year old, and clearly the failure was caused by corrosion from water ingress and not misuse. There was a bulletin for the fix, but no recall.
My last 2011 Amarok had the same exposed ring gear hole. After a warranty repair on the clutch due to internal corrosion, VW applied their "fix". A plastic bung in the above mentioned hole, and...
I can reccomend this guy Pragmatic Racing - VW Amarok and Motorsport Electrical Looms.
He makes plug n play looms for Amaroks.
The interface plugs are tucked up in the drivers footwell above the...
Michelin tread wear rating is 440. Traction rating A
I haven't noticed any issues like yours, although my OE tyres are Michelin Primacy and I run 36 psi in the front and 40 in the rears.
Australian consumer law works hand in hand with vehicle warranties. Do some homework and you may find it works in your favour. Fit for purpose and acceptable quality/ repair come to mind. You may be...
