Groan
Apologies to Sting I hope.
Yep. Noticed that after I put the JB1 on. 195 must be full scale, LOL, nowhere near enough.
Good job on the plates. When you're ready for the tune, look at the JB1. You'll be amazed at the value for money. Best 600 bucks you'll ever spend. I love it.

Great job Cruiser. Looks....mint
I've yet to do mine, even though I had all the gear before I got the car. Though I must say my dealer did not damage anything or leave marks all over the car.
Many thanks to urxtream for getting this deal afloat. All happened in the blink of an eye. Ordered mine last night within 15 mins of your PM and then this morning, confirmation that it was in the...
You just did this to get all of us to go and check our cars! And it worked on me anyway. Thankfully I have 2 badges. I wonder where yours went?
Thanks for the info rosslm, I've now spent quite a few hours reading the VWVortex thread. What a wealth of information George is, and extremely patient in dealing with customers or prospective...
Hey ringo, I'm thinking your car is a NAR build vs our ROW build here in Oz. I wonder if the stock (VW) maps for both builds are identical, or tuned differently for different fuels in the respective...
Anyone know what the 6 speed DSG in the GTI ED40/Clubsport max power and torque figures are recommended?
The very question that a lot of us pondered over a few months ago. For some varied opinions, take some time to read this thread:

Count me in, I've had it now for 2 months un-modified. AND I want the USB cable so I can "mess with it's brain" :Dr_Evil:
Group Buy List now goes:

Hey mate, welcome to the club (sport). Having googled those rims, I hope to see them on the white car! After looking at the Rubys everyday now for 2 months I like them a bit more than when I first...
White DSG no roof. The manual hadn't been announced when I ordered mine in May. Which was fine as I wanted the DSG. Other options when I ordered where GTI PP DSG carbon steel for 45400 drive away. ...
My prices in the table are ACTUAL MRSP as quoted by VW Australia. Anecdotal figures quoted on forums or by my cousins aunts partner who knows a VW salesperson, has no basis for a FACTUAL comparison....
I think their opinion is based on the £750 (~ AU$1320) price differential, although the figures they quote for the R and CS make no sense WRT their statement. The price differential here in OZ, as I...
Thanks Dutch. Will check out these options
Pardon my ignorance, but what are the wheels on the Steel R in pic 2?
Think they would look good on my GTI CS/40.
But then again, anything would look better than the Rubys :emo_baghead:
Relax Ringo, I can assure you it doesn't sound anything like that! I've done 1100ks in mine now and can only re-enforce what I said in my initial thoughts post. Nobody will regret getting the CS in...
Some discussion from the Audi R8 forum, albeit from 2010
A question about the different types of Pirelli Compounds
Got round to looking at the tyres for you. They appear to be "mid range" P Zero. From TireRack -

After 800ks they seem to have quitened down somewhat. Must have worn the "tits" off...
A number of posters in this thread are of the belief that the CS is "overpriced" or "not good value" or that the R is "a better option for not much more $".
I have drawn up a table with each of...
Having lived with the Megane RS for nearly 3 years, I believe you've hit the nail on the head! Jumping in to the GTI, you can decide to drive it like a Megane at 10/10ths by the seat of your pants...
Great news Bassik. Now you'll be able to make a informed decision based on your own requirements and how each car satisfies those needs.
